Why is Monsanto afraid of a group of independent filmmakers showing their take of what the future of GMOs will be like in the future? Why have the filmmakers received over 40 private emails stating in no uncertain words, “your efforts are futile, it’s in your best interest to abandon this project?” Could it be that Monsanto is afraid that if this movie goes mainstream, that the threat of GMOs will be known by the masses and their agenda for total food control will be in jeopardy?
Monsanto has shown through their actions throughout their sordid history to not care about this planet and everyone on it. Their drive for profits over people is what has driven the company to create the most toxic chemicals and creations known to mankind. The SANTO movie taps into what Monsanto has been doing to world populations since their introduction of GMOs into our food supply, without any scientific studies prior to their release — and the FDA gave the green light for these new and untested foods onto the market back in 1994.
Try as they may, Monsanto can not stop a movement by the People, nor will they stop a movie that exposes the real threat that GMOs are.
About the movie
SANTO is a story that shows our future in 2045 when overpopulation has reached critical levels and food supply can’t keep up with demand. Poverty and hunger have become pandemic. Global biotech food giant SANTO has created strains of super food to feed the masses causing autoimmune disorders, food intolerance, and sterility in the process. Their new cure has proved even worse than the diseases they created: Santo lobbied and was given the right to make genetic enhancements to humans so they could again eat and survive on their created super foods. In that legislation, it also gave them the rights to own any human’s DNA and body that was modified. For those modified that were less than perfect, Santo had the right to recall.
We follow Max, a working class family man who convinced his wife to allow Santo to genetically modify her so that they can overcome their infertility problems. When their daughter is born disabled, however, Santo recalls her and sends her to Deconstruction Camp. His wife disowns him. His daughter is dead. He is alone. Now he must save the life of another child that has been recalled if he is to expose the inequities and injustices of Santo to the world.
Santo re-calls wait in line before the High court to decide on Re-modification or Deconstruction. Visualization by Phil Cabrera
Imagine the video above as a local film in the movie’s metropolis as propaganda that Santo brainwashes us with. Everything except for the end, that is; that’s for our special backers.

Message from the Film Makers
Ever since we heard about Genetically Modified Organisms, and the controversy surrounding it, and the GREAT lengths the companies making them went to fight off anyone opposing their creation, including buying lawmakers, bribing politicians and spending millions of dollars hiding the truth, we knew, that was exactly the type of story that needed to be told. Up until this point we had never heard talk of making a movie that wasn’t documentary about this subject. We’ve always wanted to make a Dystopian Futuristic movie in the spirit of “Soylent Green” and “1984,” but we didn’t want it to ever be without purpose.
This Film was the answer and possibly a game changer in human history in the process. This was proof enough that we needed to make a firm stand, either go commercial and sell out, or Go real and stay true. Don’t bash the public in the head with public awareness commercials or documentaries that don’t reach enough people, only affect them for a moment, but they will never add it to their collection of favorite films. Don’t stand on a street corner and blast our opinion through a microphone at passer byes. NO, people love to be entertained, they loved “Avatar,” “Titanic,” “Blade Runner,” and “Jaws,” even though the subject matter could at times be hard to swallow, either way they lined up to see those films. So let’s show the world, only bring it to them through a medium of art, an escape, a fantasy that makes them want to line up , makes them want to know, because it entertains them and then, then stays ingrained in their minds like the first time they saw “ET” and couldn’t wait to phone home.
This is why we chose Kickstarter to raise the money to make “Santo 7.13.15.” If we could just get 300,000 backers to give the a 10 dollar donation, we could finance the movie with everything we envisioned, especially if they knew that this could be the final nail in the GMO coffin. and to realize AHA “Santo 7.13.15.” could be the way to spread the message far and wide. What if 1 million chipped in? Then just the press alone would weigh in so heavy, and so far-reaching that awareness would be eminent. So we’ve decided, we are going for it, and now we hope you will all help make this happen!
No Kickstarter project ever Reached the stratosphere like this can. It’s up to you now, the real supporters of this life changing film for the better of humanity. When the project is successful, our plan is a global release in mid 2014.
Thank you to all who come in support of the Goal.
Warmest,
Santo 7.13.15. Team
