2015 Could Be The Year Of Male Birth Control

We’ve come a long way since 1916, when Margaret Sanger defied decency laws and opened the first birth control clinic in the country. At the time, the primary methods of birth control were rhythm method (making a comeback!) and prayer. We don’t have to tell you that Sanger’s work, which included crucial support for birth control pills, changed everything. But what will be the pill of the future?

This infographic compiles some promising, if out there, product development. Some of it, like an injection for men, is slated to come out this year. Other methods, like an intravaginal ring that fights HIV and herpes along with preventing pregnancy, is still awaiting human trial.
